Who We Are
Daughters of hope Community college is a Vocational Training Centre for young girls from "at-risk" backgrounds .It is registered as a charitable trust that began in June 2014. It was initiated due to a need for educational opportunities for at-risk girls in the community who would otherwise end up in grave circumstances and have limited opportunities to be educated and employed. The first year began with 15 students. Over the last 6 years, the school has educated 85 girls between the ages of 15-25 years in Tailoring and embroidery, Cosmetology and Computer training. All the girls also receive daily nutritious meals and regular lessons on life skills and health and wellness too.

All students learn basic skills in computers, tailoring and cosmetology for the first 2 months of training. The following 8 months, students are put in the field of their interest to engage in a more hands - on learning experience that will help them find suitable jobs in their respective fields.

The students receive support from the teachers in their day-to-day life, free nutritious meals daily, and education on hygiene, health and wellness, life skills etc. The holistic health and well-being of each student is taken into consideration and nurtured at the school.

Other languages
The students are also offered lessons in communicative english, soft skills and home science which will add to their level of employability. Some are also taught to read and write other languages like Kannada, Hindi etc that may help them in their careers as well.
